On Wednesday, July 12 is the National Day of Action on Net Neutrality, and Senator Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.) will lead a bicameral group of members of Congress in a press conference with advocates, online companies and grassroots supporters all raising their voices in support of strong net neutrality rules. The Trump administration has started the process of rolling back the Federal Communication Commission’s (FCC) Open Internet Order, which prohibits internet service providers from slowing down or blocking online traffic or setting up internet fast and slow lanes. The FCC is currently accepting public community until August 16 on the proposal to end these critical net neutrality rules. Millions of comments have already been received.
