BOSTON (November 19, 2014) – Senator Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.) today condemned the November 18th Jerusalem synagogue attack that took the lives of four innocent people of faith, including three American citizens.
“We mourn with the family and community of all the victims, including Rabbi Moshe Twersky, one of Boston’s own, who was among those brutally killed in this heinous, savage attack,” said Senator Markey. “Rabbi Twersky’s legacy of education and peaceful understanding will live on. Let every aspect of society condemn these vicious attacks and remain focused on the quest for peace between Israelis and Palestinians.”
Senator Markey echoed the remarks of U.S. Secretary of State Kerry, who has called for Palestinian leadership to take immediate steps to end incitement to violence among the Palestinian community
