Boston (November 13, 2015) – Senator Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.) will be joined by Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Gina McCarthy for a tour of Greentown Labs in Somerville. They will then hold a press conference to discuss climate change impacts and clean energy solutions. As the nations of the world prepare to convene in Paris next month for international climate negotiations, Senator Markey, Administrator McCarthy and others will discuss President Obama’s Clean Power Plan, and policies and legislative priorities for addressing global warming. Senate Republican legislation to overturn the Clean Power Plan will be debated on the Senate floor next week.
